The Open University brand guidelines
The Open University brand hub offers a public brand policy and gated guidelines covering asset libraries, toolkits, and templates.
Freedam's take — I spent time exploring The Open University brand hub and found an interesting mix of open and restricted materials. While major sections like the full guidelines, toolkits, and tone of voice resources require an internal login, they share their complete brand policy out in the open. I appreciate seeing clear, structured governance published openly, covering everything from prohibited usage and trademark licensing to accessibility, equality, and inclusion responsibilities. They even provide a dedicated terms and conditions PDF for logo usage right from the policy view.

- Most internal brand guidelines, design toolkits, and tone of voice documentation are behind a login screen and could not be reviewed.
Ideas to borrow
- Organizations can publish formal brand governance and policy openly while keeping proprietary toolkits and templates behind a login.
